UC/CSU apps

Hello guys. So that dreadful time of the year is coming. Instead of breaking my head against the wall, I figured I should post my question here.
I've been going to LA community colleges for the 3rd year, accumulated about 65 units to this day with a GPA around 3.14. Due to unmentionable excuses, I managed to not pass my math class 3 times (laziness, 7am class with 1.5 hour commute, etc. etc etc.). I am retaking the class this winter, which I will finish around January. I have some major prep classes and I am doing meh right now. I am planning to major in Chemistry or Biochemistry.

Now this is what I am worried about.
My thoughts are completely convoluted and I am no longer eager to learn. Those who are attending community colleges right now may agree. It is really hard to be focused. Budget cuts, huge classes, rude students, absent teachers, living at home (problems at home tend to overwhelm problems at school).

I have been doing pretty bad this semester, probably getting a C in General Chem, Physics and Art. I am sure I will do well this winter, repeating my precalc class and probably some other class. I know precalc very well, I just lost focus every time and did not pass it. I want to get into a UC to get my mind straight. No matter what UC, as long as I get in.

Sorry for an essay, but here is the tl;dr summary

1) Have a bad college record (3.15 GPA, not many major preps, 3 failed attemps in Precalc)
2) Considering majoring in Chem/Biochem
3) Chances of getting in if I pass precalc this winter (right before spring semester rolls in)

thank you in advance
