Unfortunately, I believe the UC’s consider GPA more important than test scores, but your SAT score is stellar. A good personal statement will probably put you in at UCI. I don’t remember if the other UC’s consider personal statements as much.

Thanks oceanpartier!

Anyone else?

UC Irvine - high match
UC Davis - low reach/high match
UC San Diego - reach
UC Santa Barbara - high match
UC Riverside - low match/high safety
CSULB - safety

all UCs most likely weigh the personal statement the same relative to each other. they are under a single entity of “UC” with similar, if not the same, academic bureaucracy.

Thank you redteabag!

When you guys say “high match” or “low match”, what exactly does that mean? So, for example, UCI’s stats are a little above mine but I still have a decent chance of getting in?

Thanks again!

it goes from high to low and reach to safety. the “high” and “low” are just to act as a multiplier for reach, match, safety to make 9 levels.

yes, you still have a chance.

I heard UCSD doesn’t consider the essay…

Hey man I’m a junior in high school and I need help
