@MichaelJarvis One of the two classes for me is a transferable major class and it does say transferable so unfortunately your theory is wrong Ughhh this sucks. Do you think it’ll have any difference on our admissions? This sucks lol.
@AdamA I doubt it, I logged back into my UC App and checked my updated schedule for this semester and that class isn’t on there, must just be their mistake.

I’m so happy I got in. I tag’ed last year at Davis for Microbio but unfortunately received two D’s my spring semester so my acceptance was rescinded. I retook those classes and now I’ve been accepted again!
@MichaelJarvis Were we supposed to update our coursework on myAdmissions? I called them about that before the TAU deadline and a lady told me that the only thing we need to do is do the TAU by January 30th and that there’s no mechanism for updating our courses on myAdmissions. I even tried and it kept giving me an error back then which was the reason I called.
@AdamA Literally see the same thing in like 3 classes I took off my application. I wouldn’t worry about it though because when you calculate your units at the top of the page, it’s accurate. Enjoy your acceptance <:-P
@lynammo @MichaelJarvis ugh thank you guys so much. I was freaking the hell out hahaha. I’m gonna call em on Monday just in case. @LynAmmo Thank you! Congrats on yours too!

Major: Cognitive Science A.B. (Bachelor of Arts)
GPA: 3.05
TAG: None
Pre-reqs: Missing Research Methods in Psychology, and Introduction to Logic
IGETC: Will complete by end of spring
EC’s: Volunteering, full-time retail work, software side projects, contribution to open source
Otherwise:
- Spent three years at a community college (graduated high school on June 2014, and started attending my community college in August 2014)
- Received an F this past fall (received multiple F’s throughout my time at my community college)
- Completed my associates degree in Computer Languages in the fall with a 4.0 GPA in all CS courses
- While I wrote my insight questions in the last few days of November, without any revision from anyone except myself, I believe they were well-written (clean and honest) and true - I am most convinced that my insight answers were/are the reason I was accepted - I assume all the writing I do has paid off in a form
- I must admit I am surprised to be admitted, and while I would have liked to be admitted to UCI for CS, I think it would be unjust to not attend (despite having to take out loans for living expenses)
- As for my career aspirations: software engineer particularly focusing on mobile development (Android, iOS) and React Native, or product management - both in a breakout trajectory start-up
- While cognitive science - particularly cognitive science for a bachelor of arts - does not align with my career choices, I am interested and looking forward to thinking more deeply about psychology and philosophy
Pretty bummed, got waitlisted.

@lynammo @MichaelJarvis btw did you guys update the courses?
I checked and my units actually line up…
The thing is,
It shows that I’m taking the same class at a community college… twice. What lmao.
Should I update my coursework with all the appropriate classes as “not enrolled”? Or should I call them on Monday first and see?
Dang. Do yall think they’d rescind my admission if I update the major class I didn’t take with “not enroll”?
I have a 3.79 GPA with IGETC done and that’s the only pre-req class I haven’t taken so far. Plus I was accepted for tag and II’m finishing up all the tag appropriate classes they needed me to take with As.
I’m curious, did anyone’s grants appeared on their awards list? I should qualify for both CAL and PELL grants but it’s not showing. I suspect you have to register for units first then they’ll award it.
@HmongNotMong101 I was wondering the exact same thing! I saw a pretty hefty University Grant and I think maybe the PELL grant was there, but no CAL grant! I’m thinking you’re right about registering first. I saw an “estimated” Cal grant for my UCSD and UCSB acceptance.
@AdamA I think I might call Monday just to get some reassurance but in my case the class they left on there is not a requirement for my major so it’s not as big of a deal for me. I would call Monday but I doubt they’ll rescind you with that GPA tbh.
Waitlisted for Communication but I’m SOOOOO HAPPY!!
I really thought I was going to get rejected so seeing I made the waitlist made me cry tears of joy.
For those of you on the waitlist, think about it, they could have easily rejected us. But they didn’t. They INVITED us to another chance at getting in! Personally, I’m so thankful for that.
Admitted.
CSU to UC transfer
3.81 GPA
Political Science Major
@MichaelJarvis alright man. Did you update your coursework to “not enrolled” in that class? Or you just gonna wait till Monday to do that?
@junemoon Same here! I should be getting Cal Grant A and B but it only shows a university grant, fee grant, and loans
