UC Davis 2017 Transfer Official Thread

@KK456 Glad I’m not the only one! Haha. I guess that just means they aren’t showing it for anyone…?

Oh and… Did you guys just update your classes via TAU? Or did you do it through the my admissions portal back in January?

I believe we have to register for units because they would need to know if we’re full time students or not.

@UCtoUC2017 Will do :slight_smile:

I assumed the university grant WAS the cal grant would be great if it isn’t actually

Hey everyone,
I was admitted into the CS program and I went to the my admissions website to check my FAFSA under the MyAwards tab and it is saying that they haven’t received anything from my FAFSA application.

I filled FAFSA for 2017-2018 and checked all the information and it is all right; however, Davis is showing me 2016-2017, but because this is the first time I applied to FAFSA I don’t have anything. So I am wondering if you guys have the same problem or if you actually got your aid package?

Thank you

@Pheles change it from 2016-2017 to 2017-2018 and it should work then

Help!

What do I do If I accidentally accepted my SIR and had the fee waived because of EOPS, UC Davis thinks that I am going in the fall?

I am still deciding schools

@MichaelJarvis @AdamA hey guys same happened to me i was freaking the shit out since i didnt end up taking one of the required courses (updated in January 30th again) however the units correlate so we shouldn’t worry at all(got proof on uc app too
Also whats the required goa for ur guys contracts? And i messaged and updated to "never enrolled " so idk if that was the right move since i was panicking …?

What is the grant? Does that need to be paid back or is that just like a reward?

And btw is everyone else required to have a 2.8 for the spring? weird since its usually supposed to be 2.0 js

@Pheles Yea, the exact same thing happened to me and it’s not letting me change to the 2017-2018 year. That choice isn’t even showing up. Nevermind, lol. I’ve found what was wrong.

@Ahmeda13 grants do not need to be paid back. I recommend learning about the financial aid process.

@CosmicTraveler If it states on the page of which you got admitted to check your financial aid package, then you should be able to do it. Try logging out and back in. The 2017-2018 through summer 2018 option should be available under where it says academic year

thank you @phil067 I was able to find that option

@sneezy123 glad you feel better!! I was on a rollercoaster of emotions after SIRing then seeing that I needed such a high gpa then going back to happy crying ahaha.

I just called UCD admissions office and the secretary transferred me to his supervisor and we worked things out! She told me that they made a mistake and that she put a note in my file that I called to clear that up.
