Good luck to everyone! Apparently decisions are coming out on Friday which is my birthday lol.
I know my chances are really low (3.75 w GPA/3.66 c, 5 APs, solid ECs with leadership roles and national recognition, 1950 SAT, super unique essays–Design major, alt:textiles) so I’m not getting my hopes up but this would be the best birthday present ever!
Did anyone else apply for Textiles or Design? I’m really interested in these majors esp Design which sounds amazing.

@flaminhaute hey i think you have a good chance but it really depends on your class rank and your schools applicant pool. check universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-source-school look up your city and school see how many people got admitted last year make an estimate. but yea check your rank it’ll tell you your chances, but of course there are other factors such as your personal statement and ec’s! good luck! you have a better chance than me lol hope you get in
@jackisawesome hey i think you have a pretty good shot at UC Davis and most of the schools you applied to tbh, but check universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/admissions-source-school look up your city and school. It will tell you how many people applied to a UC’s last year (you can track by UC school as well) and you can track gpa from your school who got into which ever school you want. I think it’s pretty helpful snapshot check it out! Good luck I hope you get in! Also check your class rank!

@dawg619 you are a match for davis imo, and i really think it’s going to be based on your high school’s applicant pool and your rank if your in the top 9% etc. or if you’re pretty up there

@lg1998 , that UC site with admission data is super cool. Thanks for sharing! Also, a lot of high schools don’t have class ranks, so that’s not always as useful a marker as GPA and test scores.

@lg1998 my school doesn’t rank 
last year 154 students applied and 56 got in, this year 106 applied. Average GPA was 4.27 and 2074 SAT (yikes!!) thank you for that link you’re very helpful!!
@flaminhaute Good luck!! I think you have a good chance for your major, especially if your essays are as good as you say. Don’t worry about your SATs as much – I know plenty of people who have been accepted to Davis for a variety of majors (not Eng though) with similar stats to yours.
