UC davis electrical engineering

ok so… I was looking at some statistics and numbers about the engineering school at davis. this website http://www.collegefactual.com/colleges/university-of-california-davis/academic-life/academic-majors/engineering/#=
says that there are only 6 electrical engineering majors at the school. I was under the impression that the major would be much more popular than that… can someone explain why this is?

UNIVELOCITY: I found this about UCD graduate students on UCD website: http://budget.ucdavis.edu/data-reports/documents/enrollment-reports/emjg1st_fcurr.pdf
The website you are linking is not part of UCD but a college fact website which probably has incorrect data.

i was looking for undergraduate data

I don’t have my 2014 commencement ceremony program with me right now, but I remember seeing more than 6 names under electrical engineering in the program (I wasn’t an engineering major, but the program listed all the undergraduates who were graduating).

Well, I know at least 6 electrical engineering majors myself (I’m computer science though)…so I think it’s safe to assume there’s more than 6 EEs around campus.

Also, if I’m reading that correctly it looks like that’s talking about graduates for that year. This link shows overall undergraduates, and puts EEs at around 370 for fall 2013: http://budget.ucdavis.edu/data-reports/documents/enrollment-reports/emjudsc_fcurr.pdf

UNIVELOCITY: Check this link out direct for UCD. The numbers are very different: http://budget.ucdavis.edu/data-reports/documents/enrollment-reports/emjg1st_fcurr.pdf

When I went to orientation I was pretty sure there were more than 6. My advisor mentioned at least 8. I’ll email her to confirm. But I agree with you @UNIVELOCITY‌ when I went to orientation there were about 150 students there for engineering, but my group for EE only had 8 people while other engineering majors had at least 15. Its not as popular, but I still feel that its a good program at UCD. I was in a dilemma for the longest time whether to chose UCD or SJSU for EE, but choose UCD. Are you an incoming transfer student?

im actually a sophomore.
