**UC Davis Fall 2014 Transfer Decisions**

@Loyshi Yeah, but I mean in terms of the students this year. How can we be sure that systems for the appeals page have been updated? Your freshman application has been fully processed which makes it hard to make sense of this blank page. Nobody has commented on this thread so far stating that they have anything other than a blank page so how can we possibly assume it is a good sign (hopefully it is). By all means if this is a good sign and if we blank pagers all get in then, awesome! But… I don’t want to get my hopes up yet.

@transfer14ptl‌
Nvm. I agree with what your saying. So blanks means nothing atm. Great! Back to waiting for the next 3 days

Awww darn. Oh well Friday is only a few more days away anyways. :expressionless:

For those of us waiting, I am just copying and pasting this from last year’s thread:

(post #166 by Cinnabon1234)

Appeals Method:

Go here and login: <a href=“CAS – Central Authentication Service”>CAS – Central Authentication Service;

If you have a message that says “Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their admission decision”, then you have either been admitted or have been placed on the waitlist. If it displays a form that says “May I appeal my denial of admission”, you have probably been rejected.

FAFSA Method

Go here and login: <a href=“CAS – Central Authentication Service”>CAS – Central Authentication Service;

Select “2013/2014” for the Academic Year.

Enter your student ID (should be in the confirmation email that you got from UC Davis way back in December).

Enter your date of birth and hit “Log in”.

Click on “Requirements” in the upper left corner.

Look for “Admissions application decision”. If it says “Satisfied”, you’ve either been admitted or placed on the waitlist. If it says “Not Satisfied”, you’ve probably been rejected.

NOTE: The FAFSA trick currently shows “Not satisfied” for everyone as of today (4/6/2013). Last year (and the year before that), it started changing around 3 or 4 days before official decisions came. The Appeals Method is up to date however, and is an accurate indicator of your admission status.

(later updated post by Cinnabon1234)

If you get the Appeals form and your FAFSA says “Not Satisfied”, you have probably been rejected.

If you get the “Sorry” message and your “Admissions Application Decision” (in the FAFSA page) is under the “Satisfied Global Requirements” section, then you have either been accepted or waitlisted.

If you get the “Sorry” message and your “Admissions Application Decision” (in the FAFSA page) says “Not Satisfied”, then the FAFSA office hasn’t updated your status yet. It takes time for this to happen and will occur on a rolling basis from now until the 19th. Just hang in there, it WILL change if you have the “Sorry” message.

Luckily, no one has gotten the “Appeals” form AND the “Satisfied” message for the FAFSA so it’s keeping our theories intact. Again all this stuff is based on stuff that’s been proven from previous years and isn’t something new this year. I’m pretty sure it applies to this year too, that’s why I even made this thread in the first place.

I was reading more into the thread and on April 15th (last year), the Appeals page went blank for everyone. Didn’t seem like anyone was able to get anything other than a blank page afterwards so I don’t think we will have the privilege of using the Appeals trick this year. LAME. WASTE OF RESEARCH ON MY BEHALF SINCE THAT’S THE ONLY TRICK I COULD HAVE USED (DID NOT APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID)… But hopefully this helps some of you out.

@transfer14ptl‌
Thanks for digging this up. This is why they tell you to apply for FAFSA even when you don’t qualify, not for the reason to find loophole about admission though. lol.

@firefly94‌ @bhav007‌ I applied for fall 2013 and my appeal status for that year is “Sorry, only non-selected applicants can appeal their decision.” and mine for this upcoming semester is a blank page. idk if this is any help. Also I was accepted last year as a freshman.

@transfer14ptl this is the link for the FAFSA trick from an earlier post in the thread. Thank God for this link or else I wouldn’t have known how to find it lol.

@connor21 I actually checked the appeal page back in March while trying to help a friend who got denied and it was blank then too. So maybe there is that possibility that they just haven’t updated the site yet.

cinnabon1234 here, checking in from last year. I discovered/followed up with the appeals and FAFSA tricks last year (along with a bunch of other people). Unfortunately, the appeals trick stopped working around mid-April. All we got was a blank page. Turns out, someone on this forum ratted us all out last year and the Admissions office closed the loophole.

tl;dr: The appeals trick is now dead, someone notified the Admissions office so it doesn’t work anymore.

As for the FAFSA trick, it seems that they changed the website a bit from last year, so it doesn’t display the same type of info anymore. As far as I can tell, both tricks are now useless and don’t work.

3 more days, guys. Hang in there! I’ve been in your shoes last year and the wait is well worth it!

@firefly94 oh well looks like I will have to wait till friday at 5:00

My MyAwards says that I’ve been selected for verification as I have a couple of unsatisfied global requirements. One of the requirements asks for a verification worksheet, and on one section of the worksheet it asks for my UCD email, which obviously I am not able to set up at this moment because I am not yet an admitted student.

Anyone have any insight? I have TAG’d to Davis, but this is killing me.

This whole thread makes absolutely NO SENSE. FAFSA applies to the whole UC system. If you did not apply to FAFSA, you will not have any message except not satisfied, or something along those lines. The ad nauseum housing tricks make more sense than this.

Someone mentioned 5 o’clock. Is that the time when they are for sure going to release the decisions? AM or PM? So nervous! I went through this as a freshman applicant with super high hopes and was disappointed so I am trying to keep the expectations down this year.

@austur Your Davis email will be whatever your login id is followed by @ucdavis.edu. I just mailed in my verification yesterday and used that.

@mvillas21‌
Thank you. :slight_smile:

5 P.M. :slight_smile:
Almost tomorrow, guys! Hang in there and fingers crossed :smiley: [-O<

Decisions are being posted on Friday…not tomorrow.

So is Davis releasing ALL decisions on Friday? or are they starting to release decisions in general on friday until the end of April? (PLEASE BE ALL ON FRIDAY)

Im afraid ur second guess would be much more possible than the former one…@bhav007

@TT4UCOSBEL‌, I’m so tired of waiting. Today, my mom even asked if I heard back from anywhere yet, and I just said NO. But, I already told her a couple times I will hear back by the end of the month.

It’s getting so stressful.
