@Countchocula25 @boxandwhiskers thanks guys! I just had it clarified through the Davis rep and my counselor that the course is in fact UC transferable. It was a typo on my CC’s website…sigh.
Yeah biological psych is a pretty hefty course. It would be hard to believe that it isn’t UC transferable. Glad things worked out
Hey all!
Wondering if you guys could help me answer this question- I’ve been struggling with depression for a while now but haven’t got help until recently. Unfortunately, depression has affected not only me, but my GPA…by a lot. I was accepted through TAG because my GPA still met the requirements but now, my GPA doesn’t. Does anyone know if Davis allows you opportunities to explain why your grades dropped so much and if there’s still a chance of acceptance bc of the GPA drop?
Thanks
@musicallyweird unfortunately they don’t usually give the TAG acceptance of your Gpa drops. However, there is the TAU which gives you the opportunity to explain your situation which they may take into consideration given your circumstances. Sorry to hear you’re struggling though. If they don’t accept you through tag they can still accept you as a general admit though.
GPA: 3.37
Classes taken: All calc, All Bio, All English, Some Chem, missing most electives and general ed.
Major: NPB
Status: Accepted
Hey everyone! Quick question…I go to a really good community college (second best in the country!) and is also a sister school (I think thats the term) to UC Davis. Do you think that admissions will take that into account?? Especially since the science program (Im a science major) is really top notch/also difficult. thank you!!
@youngdro Thanks man! I don’t actually know but I would imagine some of the classes, if not only some themes, would overlap, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. One of my friends is double majoring in LA studies/International Relations and another is doing Statistics/Lit (both are Davis students) and neither seems to be struggling. I think you have the option to make an appointment with an advisor just in case to take a look at your options. Sorry for the late reply

@kpm2014 looks good. But summer courses do not transfer so it would be pointless to even bother with them.
I’ve never heard of summer courses not transferring unless that is a Davis thing…? I am aware that they do not count towards my application.
Yeah why would they transfer? You are being accepted and are now legitimately with UC now once you SIR. So why would they take your cc course after you e already started. They will even tell you that you need to have everything done by the END of the spring semester. I could be wrong, but that’s what they told me when I asked if I can finish something after spring. Only time I’ve EVER heard of this was with cal states. They let everyone go anywhere even while enrolled at the university.
Jumping in on this late. Getting antsy. UCD, UCLA, and UCSC are my top choices One more month guys!!

Hey! I should major in animal science.
Is UC Davis rolling admission or is it just all at once?
Anyone hear a decision yet?
^^^wth?
@nahenry1 you do know decisions for Davis don’t get released for another month and a half right?
I think they come out all at once @Countchocula25
I have an approved TAG for Davis and honestly, I wish they would just let me send in my SIR now.
That’s good. I’m sick of these rolling admissions. I’m going to have a stroke soon.
