Just a clarification on an earlier comment I made regarding my admission, I received a 3.3 GPA, not a 3.1, for any future students who read this thread. A 3.1 GPA is still solid for a number of non-impacted majors at Davis, mind you.

Hey guys, I’m an Indian international just accepted to UC Davis for Computer Engineering and just paid deposit. Has anyone received housing offers yet?

@absuxnsndn I did the math if target enrollment is 3,000, only less than 100 will be admit off the waitlist.
I probably should move on…

Does anyone know how housing works for those of us still on the waitlist?

I had a question, does anyone know if high school transcripts need to be submitted for transfer students?

I signed SHA after the deadline (8 min late) and now i’m on the waitlist and worried …

Got off the cs waitlist, finally

Does anyone notice the high school transcript information?I submit 2 packages( high school transcript and university transcript) to the office in person in the same day,but only the university one shows received in the portal,do they read them seperately?

Has anyone else been accepted off the waitlist???

@collegemom74 I called admissions a few weeks back & they told me “since you’re a transfer, it’s not required” but I went ahead and sent it in anyways just to be careful of misinformation.

Hi everyone so I am (I think a super unusual) applicant, I am currently at a cc and am applying this fall 2019 as a TAG student for Davis. So a little about what my application is looking like… I had a really bad first semester and redid 2 classes and was on academic probation but I worked my behind off and have finished all of the TAG requirements, and am working on additional classes.
I have a GPA of 3.23 which JUST BARELY meets the TAG requirements for Bio students which asks for a minimum of 3.2, all the Ws I had have been overwritten because I took those classes and did well. I also meet all of the individual GPA requirements for math, chem and bio which asks for 2.5 and I have 3.0+.
I am stressed to say the least I have reasons why my first semester wasn’t flawless and do not know how to say such personal things in an essay, should I speak directly to a Davis rep or TAG counselor and ALSO put it in the text box that says “would you like to explain any parts of your application?”.
Does anyone have any advice for me or similarities in their application, I know my current standing meets the criteria for TAG but I am worried about my past coming back to haunt me.

I’m going to be closing these threads shortly. Can someone start a 2020 Davis thread? You might want to repost in a new thread, @cctransfergal

I just did! It is titled:
UC Davis TAG GPA fall 2020-min requirement
