I was accepted to both schools and I can’t decide. I’m majoring in economics and I’m from the bay area (so Davis is driving distance and UW is a plane ride). Help me?

Pros for Davis:
AWESOME Managerial Econ and Econ majors. I’m inclined towards majoring in econ here because it’s a really good major.
Davis is nationally ranked higher than UWashington (If you’re going for prestige)
Much better social life here than UWashington. My friend who goes there says the social life is really dull in UWashington. Davis has much more going on.
Closer to home?

Cons:
Closer to home?

Can’t think of any cons. Of course, I’m biased.

I don’t even go to Davis, and I think you should choose UC Davis :)

Thanks for the advice. And I think closer to home would probably fall under pros…it’d certainly make moving in/getting home a lot easier. I think I’m leaning more towards Davis at this point.

I got accepted to both too!! As far as prestige, both schools are about the same. They’re great schools. In Washington state, University of Washington is the school everyone wants to get into. Many of my friends go to UW and there is definitely a social life, I mean it is in Seattle, but I’m sure there is a great one at UC Davis too. However, that being said I would go to the one which will be cheaper since out of state tuition can be spendy. Plus being closer to home is always a bonus. I’m stuck between the two as well though and am learning towards UW since I’ll get in state tuition and more state grants.

Congrats! Yeah in-state tuition is a major pro as well…
