Hello all,
Firstly, thank you guys for taking the time to read this, since this is my first ever thread post on CC. I was enrolled in UC Riverside from 2012 to 2015, completing roughly three years of coursework. I was originally a political science major but switched to philosophy my second year. After about a year, I decided I should go back and finish my degree. I am now enrolled in a California community college and am thinking to transferring to USC because it is near my area and therefore can commute there from my place. I want to enroll as the same major I was in UCR, so a couple of questions:
-Since I would be commuting, will I be saving money as opposed to readmitting to UCR? (If I go back to UCR, I’d have to rent an apartment again and pay more expense on top of mt tuition)
-Will some of my general education classes transfer from UCR (English 1 series, seminar class from junior year for philosophy majors, etc.?)
-Can I apply for FAFSA as a USC student?
-Other academic requirements I should know about?
I guess you can say my main question is should I go back to UCR or enroll as a transfer student at USC? I just want to finish my undergraduate degree for sake of finishing it and getting on with my life. I’m also looking into scholarship programs and have been working full-time since my withdrawal to save up money for school.
