UC Engineering Chance me please!

Hi, I’m currently a high school junior who wants to major in either computer engineering or mechanical engineering. It’s hard for me to get a good representation if I can get accepted or not because engineering majors are impacted. I have fairly strong extracurriculars, but they are all unrelated to my major. What are my chances?

Schools:UCLA, Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, UCSD, UCSB

UC GPA: 4.17 W and 3.66 UW as of right now(I did really poorly first semester junior year and got 4 B’s and I expect to get all A’s and 1 B this semester. I will probably have a 4.29 W and 3.72 UW by the end of junior year.)

ACT:29 without prep/I think I can get it up to 33

School doesn’t rank

Current courseload: Honors Precalc/Trig, AP Physics 1, AP Lang, Wind Ensemble, AP Chem, APUSH

Extracurriculars: Track and Field Captain, going to be 3 years on varsity by senior year, 1 year jv
Marchingband Captain
Winter Drumline Captain
Wind Ensemble Section leader
Over the summer work experience at a tutoring place
Programming self study

I am really concerned about my first semester junior year grades. In my sophomore year I got a 4.17 W and 3.86 UW, so if I do well second semester junior year, will the one poor semester hurt my chances?

UCB: Reach. ACT is average and GPA is below average, so grades alone make you significantly less competitive.
UCLA/UCD: Low reach; average ACT and below average GPA. Extracurriculars may get you in.
UCSD: Low reach due to competitiveness of the engineering program. ACT is above average and GPA is average.
UCSB: Match bc idk hello Justin
UCI: Safety.

UCLA/UCB: Reach
UCSD: Low Reach
UCI/UCD: High Match

Your on the right track with grades, but you need to bump up your ACT. EC’s do not have be directly related to your major, although it does help.

Good Luck.
