UC Essay prompt #2

<p>I've been trying to rewrite my second UC essay and I would like it to be strong enough to use as a free response and personal statement elsewhere. Here's the prompt for those who don't have it:</p>

<p>Prompt #2: Tell us about a personal quality, talent, accomplishment, contribution or experience that is important to you. What about this quality or accomplishment makes you proud and how does it relate to the person you are?</p>

<p>I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get it off the ground. I'm having difficulty getting anything going without "My most important accomplishment is" or "_____ is very important to me" or something similar. Any ideas? PM me if more details about the essay would be helpful.</p>

<p>If you really have no idea, go around and ask people what you are good at or have accomplished. Maybe they will know.</p>

<p>Well, my thing isn't what I'm going to write about, I'm just having difficulty starting it without "my greatest accomplishment is" or something similarly bland.</p>

<p>Why don't you try just writing down your thoughts? Don't worry right now about starting at the beginning. Just write down what you want to say and you can write the beginning later.</p>
