I’ve been trying to calculate my UC GPA for about an hour now because I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. Here are my grades
10th grade:
English 10 A/A
Spanish 10 B/A
Pre-calculus A/A
Biology A/A
AP World History A/A
French III A/A
Instrumental Music A/A
11th grade:
AP English Lang A/A
AP Spanish Lit A/A
Calculus A/A
Zoology & Genetics A/A (I don’t think this counts as an a-g course, so don’t count it, but if it does, then great)
US History A/A
AP French A/A
This is the link I used to calculate it and I got 4.67: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/gpa-requirement/index.html
Could you check if that’s correct? I would really like to know
@aunt bea I’m pretty sure that the instructions for calculating your UC GPA on the UCLA website is more reliable than “rogerhub.” Can anyone else verify if 4.67 is correct?
I’m an out-of-state applicant, if that helps
I get a 4.27 capped weighted and fully weighted with 8 semesters of AP honors points including Zoology/Genetics.
@Gumbymom Ok, but do you think that Zoology/Genetics would count towards my UC GPA because I don’t really think it’s an a-g course?
I think it would fall under category g College Prep Life science/ biology course similar to Anatomy/ Physiology courses.
@Gumbymom Ok. Thank you so much for confirming!
Many California students use RogerHub, including my kids who were admitted to UCLA.
OOS students don’t receive any funding from the UCs. Applying through Questbridge won’t pay the bills either. Cost to non residents is $60k per year.
