<p>Has anyone tried to waive the UC uship insurance with Medi-cal?</p>

<p>Surprisingly, it seems you can, according to the UCLA page. But if UC gave you aid to cover the insurance, I’d use it. Otherwise they will remove that aid anyway, I’m sure.</p>

<p>Can Medi-Cal be used to waive out of UC SHIP?</p>

<p>“Yes, Medi-Cal does meet the UC SHIP waiver criteria. All waivers must be submitted by the fee payment deadline each term.​”</p>
