I'm a CCC transfer student and attending UCR this fall as a junior. Is it possible to transfer to another UC for my senior year? I know school hasn't even started yet, but I was put into some scary situations during my last visit to Riverside and already having second thoughts. I would like to apply and attend another UC prior to becoming a senior, but I'm currently in a one year housing lease agreement. Oh, I'm currently a Business Admin. major and would like to transfer to UCLA, UCB, or UCI for Economics (I have no chance at UCLA biz econ or UCB haas). Should of listened to hobo :).

No it is not possible. Nearly all universities require that you accumulate half your units there. Makes sense as you will be walking away with a diploma featuring the universities name.

Just keep your head up at UCR and try to get into a phantasmal grad school (MBA program or law I'm assuming)...

Best of wishes, Cardinal :)

lol, what happened to you when you were at R? my friend got mugged the first month of school .

oh, and you should look into schools accepting winter transfers. i believe sb and i (maybe accept). but yeah, the uc's don't accept seniors.

I thought MBA schools prefer people with job experience? Even if I get a good gpa at UCR, I won't have a chance at getting into a good MBA school compared to all the other fresh graduates from more prestigious universities with a comparable gpa. And with the reputation of UCR, it might be hard finding a job to get the experience I need to convince top MBA schools I'm qualified to attend their school, or find a decent job at all. I guess I'm royally screwed whether I want to work right after graduating or pursue an MBA :).

P.S. Hobo, I went to the Food4Less at night to pick up some drinks (non- alcoholic) cause I was thirsty and then a stranger approaches me and asks me if he could borrow my I.D. so he could purchase "something" (i.e. booze, cigs) for him and has friends. I said no and that was the last I ever saw him. Walked outside after shopping and I see two hoes flirting with some ghetto guys outside their SUV to try to get some booze out of them. I don't even want to think about what the girls gave in return for booze...

^ Do exceptional at UCR and you should have no problem getting a job.

And from what I know (mostly from surfing CC forums), MBA programs will take you straight out of undergrad if you are an remarkable canidate.

damn, i coulda told you ucr was ghetto. Stay away from chicago/food for less area at night - it gets pretty bad.

haha thats when i go there for my alcohol runs... it is shady as hell but whatev you get used to it. :)

welcome to the slums!

and yes mr. sparkle, DO WINTER ADMISSION if you can.
