So I am currently a freshmen at UCSC. Hoping to Transfer to another UC, and I am a Computer Science Major. How do I find the major pre-reqs for my target UC’s?
Hi, I am currently an incoming sophomore at UC Davis and am in the process of checking my pre-reqs and I noticed that UC Davis’s writing requirements are a bit funky. We have to take an upper division class in order to fulfill our writing requirements it seems. Does anyone here know more about this matter and how much it would affect their application if they didn’t do the upper division class? I was talking some friends and apparently you can’t even take the upper division class unless you hit a certain number of units or are a junior standing.
Thanks!
I’m also going to be trying apply again as a Junior from UC Davis. For the writing requirement, I asked them, multiple times to clarify it and they gave mixed answers. Sometimes they said that it should be okay as long as you list why you couldn’t take the second English class was because it has an Upper div Pre-Req. Other answers I received were that intercampus transfers have technically don’t need the GE requirements (although I am doubtful that this applies to all the requirements).
Also, my plan to try and stay as Junior standing (90-129 quarter units) by the time of transferring is to leave say I am not taking any courses Spring quarter, (but still take classes to not fall behind if rejected) and then drop all my classes if I do get admitted (the drop deadline should be after admission decisions are released). Does anyone know if this would work?
So im a HS senior, I got into UCI and UCD and really want to transfer to UCLA or UCB for Psychology, is there any like correlations or agreements that one campus have but the other doesnt? For example, does UCI have a closer relationship with UCLA that makes it eaiser for you to transfer to UCLA and UCD and UCLA doesnt have a close relationship?
LOL no one is here to answer questions anymore, sad.
@LEGGOGAMEFACE: The only agreements that the UC’s have with each other is the UC Reciprocity for General Education requirements. This means if you complete your GE’s at UCI or UCD and get the letter of UC reciprocity, you will not be required to take these GE’s at your UC transfer school.
