***UC Irvine Class of 2019 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

Did anyone get in with lower than a 3.7 UC GPA?

So do you guys think that if I don’t get accepted for my first major, Software Engineering, I have a chance of getting in with my second major, which is Spanish?

//cries forevermore because all I want is my decision and every single time I come on here, my heart skips a beat because there are so many new posts orz

@mmeza14 what was your UC GPA?

@ItsHydro 3.96

@mmeza14 then you should have no problem getting in as a software engineering major.

@ItsHydro I hope so

Did anyone get into UC Irvine with lower than a 3.7 UC GPA?

Officially Irvine says: “March 1-31, 2015 - UC Irvine notifies freshmen applicants of their admission status via the MyAdmission account.”

The vagueness is so frustrating

does anyone know if uc santa cruz is doing elc this year? im crazy scared about uc irvine and i hope uc santa cruz is doing elc so i have a chance since i didnt apply at the beginning

Irvine please tell us your decisions

Can you guys please tell me how many emails you got from Irvine? I was reading the likely letters thread, and just realized that I only got two emails from UCI: the first one telling me that they received my application and the second one about the school in general.

I opened a thread to track record of it: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-irvine/1752720-how-many-emails-letters-did-you-receive-from-uci.html

@Luigi0928 That letter is not a likely letter, if anything it’s not a good sign. I received the letter, but it seems really confusing. Not a good omen. However, I don’t know why they would send it to rejects. It contains many highlights about UCI and the email has a video of the vice chancellor lauding the college. But it also starts with “thank you for applying…” as in thank you for applying but bye we don’t want you? No idea.

@collegeswag1997 I don’t think it correlates at all. Probably just some newsletter/more information they signed up for earlier. I still get e-mails from Caltech monthly about what they’re doing, and I ended up not even applying.

@collegeswag1997‌ I agree that it was strange, but why even go through the trouble of sending both letters and emails reminding rejects to check their portals? Very strange.

this wait is torment.

@Owlert But how come some people got it and some didn’t? Perhaps I’m over thinking it, but what they are doing leaves a large room for over thinking the slightest things.

I never got that letter y’all are talking about…

I never got it either, but I take it with a grain of salt
