***UC Irvine Class of 2019 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

@wafflepiezz don’t fret just yet! still plenty of admissions to go out. they’re really random right now, and the batches seem rather small

@sc8305‌ I’m so nervous D: I’ve already been rejected by UCD, UCSB, UCSD… Irvine, LA, and Berkeley are my last chances but I’m really hoping I at least get into Irvine because LA and Berkeley are crazy hard to get in.

Just got accepted for Chemistry at around 3!
GPA- 4.15 weighted, 3.63 unweighted
ACT- 35
SAT II Chem 780, Lit 740
In-state

I haven’t gotten an email or anything yet. I thought my decision would come out later because I did a supplement, but apparently not!

@Wafflepiezz‌ What kind of stats do you have if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m in-state and still have not heard anything. Assuming that’s not good…?

I got in for International Studies yesterday

@wafflepiezz i totally understand where you’re coming from! the admissions process has been a roller coaster, i mean this thread is at 100 pages and all decisions haven’t even been released yet! but we have to have faith that if irvines where were meant to go, well get in. i was also rejected from davis and ucsd, didn’t apply to ucsb, and only accepted at ucsc which isn’t very high on my list so irvine and ucla have me on my toes as well. but be confident! cal is known to accept a lot of students that were actually rejected from all other UCs.

@kevin2197 Don’t lose hope. I was rejected from UCD and did not think I was getting into Irvine.

@sc8305‌ Thanks for the morale boost

What does the supplemental mean?

I was accepted for CS yesterday around 6 if that helps anyone

I will cry If I get a decision from UCLA before irvine.

@tiffanyprzybyla‌ for me I think it meant that I was borderline, but I just got accepted! Don’t lose hope

@Wafflepiezz Dude, same here. I’ve already been accepted by other uni’s in my state, but they’re not on the same caliber as the UC’s, in my opinion. I desperately want to get out of this small town because there’s so much more out there. A lot of people get sucked into the loop hole where I live, they end up staying here forever because this place is all they know of. If I do get rejected, there’s always a 2nd chance and that is to appeal. I feel like I’m playing the lottery with these UC’s because I seriously don’t think I have a chance. Because I live in a limited area, I didn’t have many opportunities as the majority of these applicants did. But … if they’re going to turn their shoulders on me the second time, then I guess my fate is pretty much decided right there. Long post, but I’m one of the unlucky ones who weren’t so privileged.

PLEASE STATE WHETHER YOU ARE IN-STATE APPLICANTE OR OOS, THANKS. :)>-

@sweetpotatoes31‌ Hang in there man, you’re not alone on this UC journey!

@Luigi0928‌ I tried to like that post so many times. I get heart palpitations when people say accepted and not where they are located.

I just got in for bio so I’m now 2-0-2 for UC colleges.(Accept-Reject-Waitlist)
I was in-state FYI.

4:02pm still nothing

@sweetpotatoes31 what other uni’s did you get into, if you don’t mind me asking? what other UCs did you apply to? I know exactly where you’re coming from with the loop hole, which is exactly why i took a shot in the dark and didn’t apply anywhere instate. (yeah, tuitions gonna kick my *** loool )
