Like I sit and think, I’ve gotten into enough schools, I dont need Irvine, then I come online and I am stuck for hours waiting for a decision. Although I understand now that I dont need Irvine to indicate my possible admissions to Berkeley or Los Angeles but I still want it, like the last piece of fruit in the basket, you may have ate all 12 others but this one is the sweetest.
@KDurham I totally agree with you. I’m quite content for the schools I already got in, but still I need to get a response! As I said before, UCI is my dream school and also the last school I have to hear from.
All acceptances for biology and chemistry till now seem to be with UC GPA > 4.0. Maybe that is the order in which decisions are posted. SAT scores are all over…some rather low…almost seem irrelevant.
Half of my list is still pending, boy oh boy, no one told me this would be so difficult. So much angst. Meh
Did you get an email first or did you just check and it was there?
@RaguSauce my capped UC GPA was 3.8ish, so I’m not sure about that

@RaguSauce I didn’t submit my SAT, but my ACT was 35 and SAT II scores were 780 for chem and 740 for lit. I’d say my personal statements were pretty good, but my ECs and volunteer work were probably a bit lacking. I got a supplement as well
What time did most of the decisions come out yesterday?
@sc8305 I was accepted by Bowling Green State University, University of Toledo, and Heidelberg University; all located in Ohio. The first 2 listed are meaningless because they’re kind of like money-grubbing uni’s, and/or uni’s that everyone goes to because those are the only ones they know. And as for Heidelberg, they’re simply like a flat soda. It’s that one uni that is in the middle of a twilight zone. I’ve read the reviews for this particular uni and I can conclude that most of their experiences were like watching paint dry.
To answer your second question, I applied to UCD, UCSD, UCLA, and UCI. First of all, I’m part of a very low income family, so naturally, I was given a free pass to apply to 4 UC’s for free of charge. What was supposed to be an application towards UCI turned into an application towards 3 more UC’s, so I marked the ones that I took some interest in. I know it was crazy, but I marked UCLA because hey, why the heck not? My possibility is 1 in a million, but if there’s at least just a possibility, then there’s a chance.
But yeah, we just happen to live in poopy areas. We have to climb even higher to get out of this deep ditch one day. I don’t know… I just feel doomed. I’m just saddened that my chances are hindered because of my situation.
