@Pittster CHP - Campuswide Honors Program

okay thanks.

Is the CHP something that a student has to apply to or are they automatically admitted if they qualify?

@amy989 You are selected by them based on your record. I think it’s a total of 200 people this year?

Judging from the previous posts, it seems like no one has been admitted through regular decision yet… Am I right? @-)

@veggiern I think you are right, getting desperate to hear back. UCI my first choice since I got rejected from Cal Poly SLO

@enterFALCON Likewise. I only applied to two schools and UCI is my forever number 1 choice

@notsopatientlywaiting My dream is USC but even if I get in I don’t know if I can afford it since I didn’t get any merit scholarships and probably won’t get much from FAFSA. Fingers crossed for UCLA or Cal, but I’d be happy going to Irvine if that’s where I’m meant to be.

Please share if anyone has heard back for regular decision!

You guys know when UCI will send out admission decisions?

@successfulife i’m wondering the same thing and hoping they release it this coming week. However, based from last year, it seems like the majority of us won’t hear until March 17 onwards.

I believe it said they were going to be released Early-March and then on a rolling basis.

For those accepted CHP or Regents, has your financial aid offer been made yet?

Yes, Regents offered $4k @alphabetatrig.

@SD2020 interesting. I’m not regents but I am CHP, but my status on MyAid hasn’t been updated. It just says something about them receiving my FAFSA on time or whatever.

If anyone is looking for the general times each UC is sending out acceptance letters here it is:
http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/campus-notification-schedule-2016.pdf
Btw I know for sure that UCSB is coming out on the 22nd at 3 p.m.

What does rolling thereafter mean?

My portal hadn’t been updated as well @alphabetatrig. Besides, my dad mentioned we will be eligible for merit scholarship only. Unfortunately we wouldn’t be receiving any additional financial aid through FAFSA (need base).

@po09oow12
“Rolling thereafter” means decisions will continue to be sent after the initial date.
