***UC Irvine Class of 2020 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

I just logged into the portal and it says “You have been admitted to UC Irvine!” at the top of the page. On the right side of the page it says “congratulations!” and underneath there is a button that says “Campuswide Honors” – does this mean I’ve been admitted to CHP?

Does anyone know if these come out all at once or batches?

yes

Congrats to all who were accepted! My d texted me from school that she was also accepted! I can’t see her portal page so I’m wondering- Is everyone with this early acceptance in the College Honors Program?

GO EATERS!!

Crushed Fullerton last night 96-77 for anyone who care besides me!! They have great new freshman dorms that will be ready for this fall!!

Also, is it possible to get regents but not CHP?

Yeah does anybody know what exactly the CHP entails? I looked at the website but it was still kind of confusing.

Is CHP and regents instate only?

Does anybody know a CHP recipient from computer engineering major?

Is it possible to get chp but not regents?

My d sent me a screen shot of her acceptance and I don’t see any “Campuswide Honors” mention. Any insight on this??

[/ul]General Comments: Was surprised admission results came out so early! Hailing from a small town, this is pretty awesome news for me.

Congratulation Sinitic. May I ask when was your portal updated to reflect your acceptance?

does irvine look at extra curriculars alot like if you have really good internships and stuff like that president of a club and stuf.

Are these coming out in batches? And how long does it last? My stats are very similar to those accepted for CHP so…hopefully!

@dadof2sd I got an email notifying me that my “application status had changed” at about 5am CST this morning.

[/ul]General Comments:
Honestly, it’s really easy to lose hope. Last week I was really butthurt that I didn’t get into UCB, but just keep in mind that the whole college admissions process is a game of chance, and no matter what, you will end up excited about where you end up. Think of it as a match-making process: if they don’t want you, you probably don’t want to be with that college anyway. I hope this helps!

I was accepted to UC Irvine today with a Regents scholarship and CHP. I did not receive an email, however; I just checked my application portal. Even if you didn’t receive an email from UCI, you should still check your portal just in case!

@Spicykins You mention in your post that you didn’t get into UCB. My understanding is that Cal has not sent out any rejection letters yet. Last week, only a small handful of people received acceptances. Even if you didn’t receive an acceptance letter last week, you are still in the running for Cal and could still receive an acceptance letter in late March!
