***UC Irvine Class of 2020 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

@basketball8643 I know haha I’m crossing my fingers  I’ve gotten over my salty stage, and honestly this helped a lot! Thank you for your positive energy!!

@Spicykins No problem! And congratulations on your acceptances to USC and UCSB! Are you in the running for merit scholarships at USC?

I’m pretty sure I was admitted to the CHP since my portal says “you’ve been admitted to UC Irvine!” And on the right side, there’s a box that says “congratulations” with the CHP link underneath, but yeah, it’s weird that no email or letter was sent… Also I went in undeclared.

STATS:
2070 SAT (780 W, 700 M, 590 CR)
SAT Subjects: Math 2 (730), Biology M (700)
4.13 GPA
Average EC’s, well written essays

I’m so excited! This was my top choice  great job to everyone else too!!

The UCI email came in the middle of the night but it was in the spam box, so check there.

@dana37 Tell your daughter to look at the right sidebar. If she’s in CHP there will be a little square icon there.

My d did receive Regents and CHP! When she got home from school I saw the full page acceptance on her computer and showed her the Regents and CHP buttons on the right! We didn’t even know about them until I saw these posts today. Thanks to everyone for putting their info on here and congrats to all those accepted!

@Spicykins UCSB has already sent out decisions?

@whynotnow Found the UCI email buried in my spam folder! I haven’t checked my spam folder in awhile and a few glances at some spam emails reminded me why :stuck_out_tongue:

UCSB sent out an invitation to a reception for “top applicants” It’s my understanding, based on past years, that at the reception, applicants are told that they are all accepted. My d got the invite too, but it’s not official admittance.

@mistnight8 Make sure to post when UCI contacts you for your HAIL interview.

So is CHP done? This thread’s not nearly as active as some others…

I got a physical letter in the mail today, so I believe all the CHP notifications should be done!

Aw I’m so sad :frowning: but congrats!!

I also got physical letters for CHP and Regents!

I got accepted into UC Irvine’s CHP!
Major: Psychology (School of Social Sciences)

Here are some of my basic stats:
Weighted GPA: 4.03
UC GPA: 4.0 (I think)
UW GPA: I don’t remember… Not sure?
SAT I: 2290 (One sitting; CR: 770, Math: 720, WR: 800, Essay: 11)
SAT Math 2: 730, Biology: 770
APs (The ones I put in on my app): English Language: 5, Psychology: 5, Calc BC: 5, Biology: 4
Essays: I guess I was passionate? But idk. It’s pretty subjective.
ECs: We the People Competitive Civics Team, Marching Band, Red Cross Club, Key Club…

Surprised I got into CHP with my sub-par GPA, ECs, and volunteer hours. I think the We the People program, my SAT score, and my essays got me in. I’m lucky. :stuck_out_tongue:

I didn’t receive any email but heard it from another student. Checked my portal and was informed of my acceptance and also received a couple of letters in the mail.
