Uc Irvine

How many of you have not heard from UCI???

It seems everyone else got accepted to UCI besides me... Well. congragulations to everyone then.

naw i havent yet either

I have not.

one of my friends is still waiting under bio

im still waiting, and i've heard from riverside and sb

I am waiting too, Econ major

iv heard from sb irvine davis waiting sd la

Since they have not released our decisions, it means we are all out...

uh...you guys will get in don't worry...UCI is for transfer students what UCR is for HS students....I think I have yet to hear of a transfer rejection from UCI...

i know of someone who was rejected to UCSB, UCLA, and UCSD, but accepted to Irvine because an admissions counselor felt bad for him. Seriously. This student messed up at UCR, was kicked out with a 1.0gpa and tried transferring from a junior college. He did fairly well at the Community College with about a 3.6 gpa having taken all the necessary Calc courses for his major, Psychology.

What hurt him was that he failed to mention he attended UCR on his UC applications which probably got him rejected from SB, LA, and SD. (i guess they dont look too fondly on lying by omission)

Of course that Admissions Counselor heard it from her boss. The counselor was told "He shouldn't be here.." So his stay at UCI is conditional, meaning if he gets anything lower than a B then he's out kicked out. I think this student is particularly lucky that he had an admissions counselor stand by his side. I would assume it would be really hard to get into grad school with that kind of GPA though.

as of April 24th, no word from UCI still

or SD or Cal or UCLA

eh

it's been more than 54 days since they started to release their desicions.. I assume they do not like something about our stats.. Otherwise, how would you explain the fact that they are stiill not giving an admission to those of us who have above 3.7

Hey dont' worry too much guys... I think the decisions are made in a random order; some ppl get it sooner, some get later...

UCR is still pending but UCI, UCSD already accepted me about 10 days ago.

I was hoping that they would release all of their transfer acceptances before the Celebrate UCI event last Saturday (which was great, IMO). It was the perfect opportunity to convince accepted students to attend UCI...

We all know the UCs work in mysterious was when it comes to admissions...Anyway, time's passing by all too fast that it's hard for me to believe that May's starting next week. You'll hear your responses soon enough. :)
