Does anybody know this?
I’m a CC student looking to transfer for fall of 2015.

It says the median GPA ranges from a 2.8 to a 3.4.
If you are extremely interested in Merced, you can always TAG.
http://admissions.ucmerced.edu/tag
Also, assuming they do the same as last couple of years, any competitive student not offered admission at their other UC choices is given automatic admission to Merced, whether he or she applied there or not. So, if you want to keep options open, not sure you should TAG there unless that really is the only place you want to go.
I’m a business major and I applied with a 2.79 gpa. I will have all pre-requisites done and GE certification. What are my chances?
Do you meet TAG requirements? Then its 100%
It’s not a 100% chance if he meets the TAG requirements but does not TAG. Case in point: look at UCSD about 2-3 application cycles back. Students with higher GPAs than the TAG requirement but did not TAG were being rejected because of the massive influx of TAG applicants to the school during that app cycle.
I meant if (s)he meets the requirements, with a TAG the chances are 100%.
Why would the OP not TAG if Merced is their top choice?
Unlikely that would happen at Merced, although it is always a risk. For 100% certainty and this is his dream school, then OP should TAG.
Maybe he missed the TAG deadline?
I did not tag because this is not my top choice, and I think the minimum gpa to tag is 2.8 and i had a 2.79…
@Anxiety2015 this might make you feel better.
