it turns out that i'm only going to have 52 transferable units by the end of spring because of complications with a math class. i know that probably means i'll just need to apply for the spring. but i was wondering if any of the UCs (specifically UCSB) might still take me even though i'm short on units. i have a 3.65 GPA and strong essays. i know UCLA won't take me, but do i have a chance for UCSB?

I'm not positive, but I think all UC's require you to have 60 units to transfer. Having 60 semester units makes you a junior and if you have less, you are not yet a junior and UC only accepts junior transfers. Although there might be some exceptions, so don't quote me on this.
