I had no one check over my personal statement or the other prompt that was requested. I sent my application on 10/07/15 and I had finished both letters on that day. I kept it real in both prompts left nothing out. I am an excellent writer so I was not hesitant about the quality of either prompts. I will be accepting my SIR tonight!

I’m getting totally discouraged lol. I was hoping to hear back from them sometime this week. Only one day left and then we have to wait a WHOLE weekend!

I haven’t gotten an official message but I was able to see the SIR, now I’m anxiously waiting to see that message!

Nothing for me yet. This is not a good way to notify people. it should be done at one time and include everyone, that way, no one wastes their time. This is crazy, everyone is checking their portal maniacally, it doesn’t help anything. I have some friends who haven’t been notified either. Thanks for the support guys.
^^^^ LOLOL first time I’ve heard that. I completely agree. the suspense is just so bad but I kind of dig it. The torment builds to a climactic acceptance and your life is changed forever 
don’t get discouraged! How imapcted your major is also affects when you hear back. I will say though that I hate that every university and CSU picks random notifications dates. UCR was the one I really wanted to go to, I heard from them first, so why am I going to wait until the middle of march for a school I dont’ care for?
I applied last year and only got into CSULA it took until May to get every decision. I agree that this making us wait is horrible! If they’re not going to tell us all at the same time(probably because we’d all crash the site) they should have set times for each major or something and actually stick to it .
Well my major is psychology and everyone here seems to be psych majors .-. And Philosoup is a women’s studies major which isn’t impacted whatsoever.
Thing I like about UCSC is they at least give you an hour for your last names
@umberial You’re the same major as my brother, but you say all of your pre-reqs are done? Did your CC have an agreement with UCR for CPLT 1, 2, and 23, and JPN 35? Because our CC has nothing, so I’m just curious as to what you meant when you said pre-reqs are done.

@aepaige Nope, there’s no classes like that my school, but my counselor told me i had to finish my 4th semester of japanese. Culture was also listed as a major requirement, but I didn’t take it.
