@jzonnn I’m not sure how it works, but the average GPA is going up. It was a 3.61 last year and it might be even higher this year as demand for the school increases.

@jzonnn our transfer counselor worked in the admission office at UCSD and he told me they focus almost exclusively on GPA. He said the cutoff for for last years admits was 3.47 but if you look at the statistics on UCSD’s website, 30% of their transfers had less than a 3.4 and 10% had less than a 3.3.
I think SD is aware of that reputation though because at the transfer seminar thing in the fall, they said numerous times that they review the entire application when making making a decision.

@trnsfr0stdnt hopefully, that’s the word haha i think there’s like a 70% chance? we’ve waited for so long already T___T but i guess we shouldnt get our hopes up

@friedchips nothing over here but the section under contact information changed. It used to include something like “parents email” and “parents address.”
I’ll take this change as a sign that decisions will come out today :-bd
Well my housing message changed if that means anything.
I’m quite doubtful. For the first batch, the site had closed down. Also mine says:
The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.
I don’t think that’s a good sign…(at least for me. Did anyone have a different message?)
@MizuRue Same. It sounds less negative than the last one, though… It sounds like they can’t let you apply for housing because they don’t know your admissions decision.

Ah, that’s true. I meant that it’s not a good sign that the results are coming out today. I really hope the results come out today.

I haven’t checked my app for a long time so it may have changed earlier.
I haven’t checked mine for long time either, mine shows “Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm.” which is same as last time (about March 30)
That’s weird. Maybe it’s random.
