I need help, I'm in a bit of a mess. I'm a senior in high school about to graduate and I took a Psychology class at a nearby community college as part of a 15% program where you can take college classes while still being in high school. I took this class in the fall semester of my senior year and unfortunately got a D in the class. When I applied to UC San Diego in the fall I could already tell I wasn't going to pass the class so in the additional comments section I put that I wasn't going to pass this class. San Diego still accepted me. When I found out I had gotten accepted in March I contacted admissions in like April and the person I talked to at that time told me that the D should not affect me because it wasn't even a high school course or a class I had to take and that I had put in my application I was not going to pass the class and they still accepted me regardless. I called again a couple of days ago and this time they told me that it was going to affect me and that I would know in June if my acceptance was going to be canceled or not. I have talked to my counselor at my high school, a friend at UC San Diego and even a Academic Advising member at UC San Diego and they have all told me that it shouldn't affect me, I was able to talk to a Admissions Officer and he said it may or may not affect me, that they won't know till they have all my transcripts. I only got 2 C's in high school, one of those my senior year in Pre Calculus and all the rest of my grades were mainly A's and some B's. I took Honors and AP courses so it was just that one D in my Psychology class at the community college. I don't know what to do, has anyone been through this or know what I should do? Thank you.
