I see the 2020 waitlist figures for UC Davis on slide #4 of this presentation: Box
Interestingly, that slide also gives stats for appeals received (407) and appeals admitted (1), so that might give some perspective to applicants who are considering appeals.
Given that the figures on the UCSC slide appear to have been preliminary pre-CDS stats, it is possible (likely?) that all the other figures given in these slides (from September, 2020) may have been preliminary before the UCs publish/ed their final 2020-2021 CDSs.

My apologies for wording that weirdly. The only airport within an hourās drive of me doesnāt have direct flights to Sacramento which was one of the reasons why Iām not considering UC Davis.
My apologies and thank you for the clarification. I was thinking that might be the issue after I already posted the reply. Just trying to list the facts but I understand. UCSC and UCD are completely different campuses and each individual needs to make their own choice for the best fit.
I am so incredibly happy for you! Iām a parent, and just have loved your gracious posts on the various threads. I know you still loved UCSC and UCSB, but UCLA is pretty darn great, too!
I had a hard time searching to see if this information is out there- here and on the UCSC website- does the university post number of applications and acceptances by major? I have found information on applications/acceptances for School of Engineering but Iām more interested in the specific major of CS. If anyone can find that link, Iād be grateful.
Other than UCI, I have have not found acceptance by major stats for the rest of the UCās but for the College of L&S, they do not admit by major anyways. UCSC only admits by major to the College of Engineering.
My S21 is also on the waitlist. My understanding is the only way that they will accept a LOCI is if it is part of the materials submitted with an admissions appeal.

For those who were accepted, how many majors show up in the list of proposed majors you can change to?
My list has 58 majors. It says the list of majors is specific to each student.
I like my choice of major (Cog Sci) but it is also nice that I could easily change into so many other majors.
Hi there I have two kids at Slo right now DD19 Journalism (graduating on time), DS19 CENG on track to graduate on time. We have loved this school and really wanted our DD21 to go as well. Sadly she was waitlisted at SLO but happily accepted to Davis. I think your kids will love it too.
