UC Santa Cruz SIP 2017

No, I’m not.

I can’t log in either. And I don’t see any updates in my account, no rejection or anything else.

My guess is that admissions are staggered, so we should check back later.

Maybe only people who got in can access the intern list? If anyone can log in, could you please post the result somewhere like google doc, so other people can see?

Was there a finalized list of interns when you friend logged in? @theancientmemur I don’t want to have to keep refreshing the portal waiting bc I’m low key sure I got rejected but I’m not entirely sure yet

Yes, I have a list. Not going to post it publicly, pm me if interested.

The admitted students can see the list of interns. just got an acceptance email too. When you log into Application portal, it says Congratulations…and has a link for accepted students and their projects.

Not sure if acceptances are staggered. Could be the case.

Can you take a screenshot of the accepted interns?
This means I probably got rejected.

Sorry, don’t want to post other people’s names/projects on a public forum without their permission.

Did everyone get waitlisted? Or did someone get a rejection. I got waitlisted :(.

Congratulations to those accepted. I’m a SIP alumnus that is doing SIP again this year. I’m on Project AST-03. You can pm me for questions or what not.

I got rejected. Is anyone else a freshman?

got rejected, freshman. : ((

how do you know if you were waitlisted? what does the email say? and congrats to all those that got in!

Email subject is 2017 SIP Waitlist. Congrats to everyone who got in though

I wouldn’t be bummed out as a freshman lol, you have better chances when you’re 16, it says so on the website

^^ that part is true. There were only like 15 freshmen out of 130.

@szhang9246, Thank you for providing information, Best regards.

Rejected and I’m 16… Go me!

I wonder what I can do over the summer or during the school year to explore the research field. I understand there are definitely alternatives; however, I do not see many for research that are still open.
