There's only about 2 weeks left to SIR and I'm still quite confused and undecided - please help!

The schools that I am debating over are UCBerkeley, UCLA, UCIrvine, and USC. I live in SoCal (close to UCI) and am majoring in Biology.
Should I attend public or private? And if public, which one? They are all great schools!

When asking most people, they recommend simply visiting the school and finding the best school for one's major because ultimately, "after finding my niche, I should be happy anywhere." Any recommendations on factors to consider in college-choosing?

Thank You!

An important factor to consider is the relative costs. What will each cost you?

I’m having some trouble with USC since I haven’t received my financial aid report yet. I think I’ll call the office tomorrow morning. But with the UC’s, I come from a low-income family so my tuition costs are covered, I just need to pay for housing.
Do you know if USC gives good amounts of financial aid? And whether they’ll continue giving aid throughout the 4 years of undergrad?

goldencreampuff,

When you find out what your aid package is like at USC, ask them what you need to do to receive that same level of aid each year. Sometimes it is necessary to have a certain GPA or to stay in a particular major.

When you do have all of your aid packages, run them through this calculator [FinAid | Calculators | Award Letter Comparison Tool](<a href=“Your Guide for College Financial Aid - Finaid”>Award Letter Requirements - Finaid) so that you know which of them really is best for your situation.

Wishing you all the best!
