Assuming my extracurriculars and essays are good, which UC schools would accept the following:
UC GPA: 3.7
SAT: 1460
My weak start in sophomore year (3.25 UC GPA) strongly affects my UC GPA.
My junior year UC GPA (4.17) improves the trend, which seems to be my only saving grace.
To add on,
I’m applying for design to UCLA and UCSD.
I’m applying for economics to UCI, UCSC, UCD, and UCSB.
Apply to any of the UCs that interest you but, with a 3.7, UCR and UCM are going to be your best bets. I"d add a couple of CSUs to your ap list. SDSU and CSULB are worth a look. l
UC’s are very GPA focused but your overall application will be considered.
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:
UCB: 1.8%
UCLA: 2.2%
UCSD: 7.2%
UCSB: 10.1%
UCI: 11.1%
UCD: 16.6%
UCSC: 43.8%
UCR: 63.3%
UCM: 88.7%
Target UCSC, UCR and UCM. I would also consider many of the top Cal States as mentioned above.
