Ok, so Ive always wanted to study abroad but it seems so impractical as a transfer. I want to go to London, so I have to turn in my application by November 15. It needs to have 2 recommendations from teachers in my major field, and I will have only been at the school for a month! I need to have a 3.5 in my major, and I wont even have a Cal GPA yet. Then, if by some miracle, I am accepted to this program, I have to stay at Cal for 5 semesters in order to fulfill the senior residency requirement and also to finish up with my major classes because they say I shouldnt count on more than 2 classes counting toward my major from studying abroad. Is anyone else encountering these same problems? I really want to do this but how the heck can I?

I wanted to do the same thing last year and it seemed impossible. I would look into the summer programs they have. It is not the same(I think most classes are taught by professors from the U.S. or your school) but you get to travel and experience another country.
