<p>i have two friends and two issues and i'm hear to help them out and see what u guys think...</p>

<p>case 1</p>

<p>student got into and will be attending UCSC but will be getting a D in Spanish for second semester, senior year.</p>

<p>is she in deep s h i t or will it be very possible to write a letter explaining her problem...will UCSC look past that or is she basically gonna get </p>

<p>case 2</p>

<p>another friend, same situation, except her class was Precalculus and she'll be getting a D also...but she got in and plans on attending UC Davis. How much trouble will she have, getting UC Davis to look past the second semester D in precalc?</p>

<p>Case 1: Probably will stay admitted to UCSC.
Case 2: May have admission rescinded from UCD.</p>
