I am a sophomore CCC student looking to transfer to UCI in Business Econ. I applied for the TAG, and was approved, so I thought everything would be smooth sailing. For the spring semester there were 5 or 6 classes to choose from to meet the final GE transfer requirements. I decided on a random LGBT studies/literature class because it met the transfer requirements, was online, and also because I figured it would be offered in Spring 2015 considering it had been offered each of my 3 previous semesters at my CCC.

Well as it turns out, that class will not be offered in the spring. I then decided I would take a drama class that would still meet the same requirements as the non-offered LGBT studies class. I reflected this change in course planning on my UC Application, but it was too late to adjust my TAG because it had already been submitted and approved several weeks prior.

My question is, am I screwed? Will my TAG still be valid after the January update because the class was not a major prerequisite, and it counts for the same category as the cancelled english class, or is my TAG invalidated because I am not taking the exact class listed on the agreement, even though I am taking a comparable class? I heard that I could take the same class at a different CCC in my area, but the class is not being offered by the other CCC in my area. Thanks a lot for any help, I called the office of admissions and was transferred to 4 different people who just ended up saying they weren't sure about my situation.
