UC TAG part time students?

Nope, no problems. I just ticked “High School Diploma” on everything though. It’s the legal equivalent after all.

okay, just checking! I want my transfer to be as smooth as possible.

I took 11 units this semester because I couldn’t possibly have predicted UCD would make this requirement. Does that make me automatically ineligible for TAG?

It doesn’t make you ineligible. Do you have any special circumstances for this?

Exceptions are possible.

What’s considered a ‘special circumstance?’

honestly, since you’re only going to be able to TAG into one UC next year, I wouldn’t worry about Davis. It sounds like your stats will be good enough to get you in anyway. Use your TAG for UCSD because it’s waaaaay more important for them. I left high school early and got my GED and last spring I only took two classes, and I got into Davis for a capped major for Fall 11. My TAG was denied for being a part time student in the spring, but as long as you meet all their other requirements (IGETC, units, GPA, and are also taking re-reqs) you should be in. I explained somewhere on the application, either in my personal statement or in the additional comments section, about why I was a part-time student last spring. Seriously, just don’t worry about it. Getting your TAG denied is not the end of the world for Davis.

My somewhat bleak and discouraging counselor told me that the only way to get into UC Davis is to TAG it because they’re so impacted. Is this true? I don’t believe her lol.

I honestly think Davis is a ****ty school (relative to UCSD/UCSB), so no?

Most counselors don’t know **** anyways, ASSIST.org and googling for acceptance stats yourself ftw!

LOL. Assist is a lifesaver!
…I’d be more confused than ever without it.
