Hi guys!
I am an incoming community college freshman, just graduated high school in California. My plan is to transfer to the University of California, Davis and major in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. I am also considering the notion of double majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Hell, maybe even triple major in Cell Biology, with of course a couple of minors. I have to take advantage of life. I have already planned out my two years at the community college I’ll be attending and plan on getting out in exactly two years, not 3 but 2 years! The counselors I was working with didn’t even help at all with what I was doing. I figured it all by myself. They even suggested to stay an additional semester because of stress and that I’ll overwhelm myself; sure I’ll stay if I am not considering graduate school. Although I am concerned about completing the organic chemistry and physics series at the junior college, although I’d prefer to take those series at Davis when I transfer. The TAG articulation agreement states that it is “strongly recommended”, but not required. Will I be at a great disadvantage if I don’t do them at the community college? My goal is to go to medical school and pursue my dream to become a surgeon. I don’t need half of my pre-med prerequisites completed at a community college as medical schools will frown upon this. My question here is, should I do any of the recommended series at the community college? Will I still be a competitive applicant if I don’t do them, noting that I’ll have outstanding grades? Will UC Davis still consider me? I have read that some people have gotten accepted without completing the recommend series. I am just wondering If I have a chance at all. I do not want to get denied the TAG nor get denied through regular admission.
Here is my planned out schedule, please review it as any opinions, feedback, suggestions will be considered. I started taking college courses will in high school as you will see Spring 2015 included. English Writing 101 and Math 120 do not count as transferable courses nor does Math 335, as I am going for a UC not a CSU.

I am not sure If I should do the summer semester of 2017. I added it just in case I wanted to complete my IGETC before transferring to UC Davis. I do not mind if I stay an extra year at UC Davis, I just want to get complete what I have to at the junior college and move on. Sorry guys I have to ask again, but do you guys think Davis will be lenient if I don’t complete the series? I don’t want to get denied the TAG. Davis is my dream school. Let’s just say I can maintain a GPA of 3.9 with outstanding extracurricular’s and clubs, etc for two years. What do you guys think?
Thank you for your time and hopefully you can reply.
P.S: I worked on this thread for a while!
