UC to UC transfer question

<p>I’m going to start at UCSC this fall, but I was thinking about maybe attempting to transfer to Davis Junior Year. I know I might fall in love with UCSC and decide to stay there but i just had some questions about transferring.</p>

<p>I’ve noticed on the Transfer threads that they have IGETC/all their major prereqs satisfied when they post their admissions status. Like they’ve finished hte IGETC and all the classes required for their major. </p>

<p>I created a plan that by the end of Spring 2015, will have me finished with all the GE’s and my major prereqs at UCSC. If I finish all my GE’s/Prereqs by Spring 2015 does that put me on the same foot as a transfer applicant who’s finished their GE’s/prereqs?</p>

<p>Look into transferring from CC to a UC using TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee), if that is still available. (I heard it was being discontinued, but can’t say for certain.) UC to UC is less likely than CC to CS or CC to UC. So if you really want to go to UCD, I suggest you go to one of the CCs, use assist.org to see which courses transfer or will fulfill your GEs and transfer your junior year.</p>
