UC Transfer after 1 year in Community College

My daughter has roughly 26 credits from APs in High School. She is evaluating going to Community College for a year to earn the remaining credits (60 semester system) and applying to UC as a junior transfer. She is already admitted to UCD but evaluating the community college option considering classes will be remote this fall…

Is that possible? Has anyone successfully gone through process? Is it possible for her to get the remaining credits in 2 semesters? Any issues forseen with UCs based on the 1 year stint at community - do they even care how long the student studies at the community or would they focus on the 60 credits?

Any insights and prior experience would be helpful.

People have successfully done it but they usually start with a couple of courses in summer so they have more classes to show by end of fall. I’m not sure how just fall courses will work.

Also several successful 1 year transfers also have dual enrollment credit not just AP credit to fulfill the transfer requirements. UCD is a great option and all schools including CC’s will be on-line. If she does not want to spend 2 years at a CC, then UCD seems a better option.

It isn’t just 60 semester (or 90 quarter) credits. The student also needs to fulfill subject requirements for transfer. These include:
