I failed to accurately report my planned course work, which made me appear (on my application) ineligible for transfer by not satisfying the biological requirement for IGETC. However, I am satisfying this requirement for IGETC and have drafted a letter of appeal to address the mistake. I met with a councilor who advised me to clarify other aspects of my application in my letter of appeal. I fear that this letter may not be as concise as it should be, or it may address arbitrary discrepancies in my application... Would anyone take the time to review this for me?

I have a 3.7 GPA, am applying to a non impacted major and have met with a councilor who rates my personal statement 9 to 10 (out of ten).

Thank you,

Is the presence of your Bio IGETC class the only new and compelling information?

My academic history did not report an eight-week course I enrolled in Guadalajara Mexico, and a substantial gap in my education from 2003 until 2005 was not reported in my personal statement. This gap was one where I sought financial security after dropping out of high school, and prematurely entered economic independence. In addition, I referred to my major as Developmental Studies rather than Development studies. These are all addressed in the appeal. =(

I’ll be happy to look at your appeal. Hit me up if you want.

Just give me a day to look it over :). I have a few to look through, and a bunch of people to e-mail. lol thanks, and I’ll ttys!

Ok, great! I am sorry if I have sent the message to you twice. I tried referring to my “sent” box and view 0 messages sent, I understand you have received it and will happily wait for your response. Thanks again!

Yeah I don’t think there is a way to see our sent/outbox messages lol.

If anybody knows of a way to see our sent messages, I’d love to know! Seriously, if someone knows a way to see our sent messages, please tell me haha. I’ll pay whomever many a compliment. I’m just curious.

Go to “private messages” and on the left side then click “edit options” under “settings and options”. Then under “messaging and notifications” check the box that says “Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default”.

I hope that helps!

@ Gaelle: You are awesome :).

Thanks! Glad I could help :)
