Hi guys,

Does anyone have the Blue&Gold under there financial aid? I don't have any of it and I know I qualify for it.....So would the blue and gold grant basically cover all our university fees, on top of the rest of our financial aid? ....or....?

Thanks

isn’t the blue and gold financial aid for ucla not ucb?

seriously? I thought it was for all UC’s…

i thought that blue and gold was significant for only ucla as that is their school colors…

[UC Blue and Gold Opportunity - Am I Eligible?](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/blueandgold/eligible.html)

yeah, I think it’s for all UCs… blue and gold are Cal’s colors…isn’t ucla like yellow and baby blue? haha

hm oh well i’m not eligible for any finaid anyways

Blue and Gold eligibility isn’t determined until well into the fall semester.

From Berkeley Financial Aid Website:

This will be effective for fall 2009.

The majority of students who meet the income eligibility standard will already have sufficient grant and scholarship support to cover full UC systemwide fees based on our standard financial aid packaging guidelines. Thus, we do not plan to identify students needing additional grant funds to meet the Blue and Gold Opportunity Plan guidelines until mid-to-late fall semester

awwh…so it basically means that you would only need that if your grants don’t already cover it? …
Did anyone get over 13,500 with a 0 efc? o.O

I didn’t get my offer letter yet, but I talked with a counselor and she said that I should receive about 15,000 in grants plus and extra 3,000 (student parent grant). But other than that, the rest is in loans (about 5,500). According to her, that’s pretty much the max unless I win a scholarship or something. I’d give a scholarship a go if I didn’t have to ask for letters of recommendation. I’m a good student, but my attendance is horrible and I am too embarrassed to ask my teachers for a recommendation when I know that I miss about 1/3 of the classes.

Every UC campus’ colors are some variation of blue and gold, with the exception of UCSF (which is teal)
