it seems like they only admitted a literal handful for OOS. I’ve only seen two people who said they got in L&S OOS. Hopefully they give us a shot next round but that isnt likely…
@Ajchen How do you know 30 spots left? Also you mean overall or for for any particluar college?
@nwsense I was replying to rockyyx about spots for accepted students in fpf. In our pathway selection portal there it says the number of spots for remaining for currently accepted students into fpf or global edge. Idt it impacts people that arn’t accepted
@Ajchen thanks, we are waiting for CNR waitlist results…look like its over
My son got into Bioengineering on the 16th.
@crazycrabman what did you decide btw Berkeley and SLO and why ?
can you appeal your decision from the waitlist?
@tennisninja: No, UCB only allows appeals from rejected applicants, not waitlisted applicants.
@nwsense I have until the 22nd to make a decision, so I still haven’t made a commitment. However, I am currently leaning towards Berkeley for a couple reasons, such as a higher flexibility in changing majors and just the general environment of the city.
@crazycrabman which major are you applied ? I heard engineering & business is better at SLO
@nwsense I’m in IEOR, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research. I’ve looked at the undergraduate career destinations, and for IE Berkeley has about a $10,000 higher starting salary, not that money is the only thing to take into account for such a large decision.
My son appealed his rejection and was successful in overturning it.
@WhiteKnightQA Waitlist rejection or standard rejection?
@aki2000ful You can’t overturn/appeal to waitlist rejections.
Standard rejection. Perfect SAT scores and GPA and really tough health issues that he had overcome. He had forgotten about this appeal and was all set to go to Duke, but this happened…
My Son got accepted off the waitlist (L&S) on the 16th and is still deciding between UCSD (which he committed to) and UCB. He will probably wait until the last minute to decide. Does anyone know what happens if the FPF slots run out before then. He is not interested in Global Edge.
what are the chances of getting off the waitlist for COC as an OOS?
Wait, I’ve heard from UC Berkeley students that you CAN appeal a rejection that you received after being wailtisted.
Will there be a third wave? or no? and if so, will it be this week?
hopefully
