for those of you that already interviewed, did you guys get a lot of time to talk?
cuz my professor talked most of the time.

i thought it was almost 50/50 for me. how long did you guys spend on interview. my interview was 50 mins long- which was really weird cause i thought it was suppose to be only 30 mins.

Where did you interview? L.A or Berkeley?

L.A.
Mine lasted about 35 min. because the interviewer was running out of time for the next student... but if I were one of the first interviewees, the interview 'd probably last an hour or so :D He was such a nice professor to talk to!!
Btw, I 've heard before that the longer the interview is, the better, because it shows that the interviewer has interest in you - the prospective student :)

LA grand wilshire hotel

yup~ hey madamebovary!!
I probably saw you if you went to LA just yesterday!!

i went today march 4

ohh never mind then... still~ congratzz we are both in Berkeley :D

When you go for the interview and if you are a girl,
do you have to wear a collared shirt??

well, it adds a tone of formality :) I did wear a collared shirt, just so my semi-formal out fit does not seem too casual.
But it really depends on your personality. I believe the interviewers want to see a "you-person" beyond that of GPAs and SATs

how many letter of rec are we supposed to bring?
I can't find where i saw this

we can bring recs? i didn't know that. for those who went, how many of you guys brought recs? how would they have time to read?

I read on the interview tips page that you should bring recs...

It is definitely not required, just suggested. My d brought two letters, and her interviewer opened and read them right there on site.

i didnt do bring the letter- and i didnt see anyone near me at the interview who brought letters

my interviewer didnt read my letters of rec on site, he just put it into a folder that has my uc application and stuff, and i think my friend and i were the only ones who brought letters

o.O mine was like 20 mins....

Mine was nearly 30 minutes exactly. Overall, I'd say that the interview was ok, but OHP was better, especially once our little host-guests groups got talking.

Oh, and as everyone probably knows by now, the person with whom you register tell you that you've been accepted.

Anybody here whose interviewer tells (or hints) you that you are getting the scholarship?

I didn't but I have a friend who did.

o.O

you mean like you'll be a good investment to our school or you will fit well in my class? that type of things
