UCB Vs. UCSD Waitlisted

I applied to Berkeley and UCSD along some other UCs, and I got admitted into Berkeley and waitlisted for UCSD. I already paid SIR for Berkeley, but it is kinda far from where I live and I dont want to be too far away from home. Also I learned that Berkeley is more expensive than UCSD.....
The major problem is that I am an econ n math dual major, but I got accepted into Berkeley as a Math major. I want to change it to Applied math if possible, but I dont know how that will go. I applied to UCSD as econ n math joint major, but Im on waitlist....

Should I just go ahead n go to Berkeley? Or I should stay n see if I can get into UCSD? If I got in, which one is a better choice?

Please help me.... THANK YOU!

At the welcome thing the other day my friend was asking about switching majors in L&S. The lady was a bit vague but she said that as long as you have the pre-reqs done, you can declare any major within L&S (which I believe you do at Orientation normally), despite what you applied for (and assuming that you can graduate within 4 semesters). If you would like to double major, you would have to put in an application for it I think in the Fall of your senior year and you can get an extension for an extra semester. Sorry this isn’t too informative. I was actually planning on going to UCI but I was waitlisted there and I don’t think anyone should anticipate getting in off any waitlist :/. Just plan on going to Cal and if you get into SD, you can change your plans from there.

Thank you so much Killmyentourage…

According to Assist.org, the major requirements for Math n Applied Math from my ccc is exactly the same thing. That’s why I hope I can switch majors in Cal. It is a better school after all, however, I don’t plan on killing myself over it. I heard that the avg. GPA at Cal is 2.9…

O___________O

Average gpa at UCSD is 3.04. <a href=“Undergraduate Statistics”>Undergraduate Statistics;
