Is biochemistry and chemical physics major impacted?

Bumpppdpfpfppc

Is environmental toxicology impacted and selective on admission?

Will it be hard to get into? Impacted? Uc gpa 3.77 but high course rigor and 1820 SAT AS OF RIGHT NOW but most likely going to be in high 1900’s in October test.

Bump-------/------/:–//

i know that biochemistry is impacted for sure, since all biology-related majors are impacted

Hmm thanks aha how about toxicology?

Bumpppppppppoppp

Bump--------------------------

No idea but don’t worry about it. Just apply and hope for the best!

I don’t THINK so, but I’m not in the major so I don’t know for sure.

Aha ok thanks but seen any toxicology majors out there?

I don’t think there are many toxicology majors, and there aren’t any toxicology majors who post here on CC as far as I’m aware. People know that it’s in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, but you’ll be hard pressed to find any toxicology majors outside Toxicology classes themselves. There are some majors that people have never heard of, really, mainly because their program is so small.

Woo! Thank you for your info. Hmm

Any chemical physics major? Bumpppp

Another uncommon major. I have never met any Chemical Physics majors, but it seems interesting.

Thank you so much!!! any info on biological systems engineering? Is it a major that is impacted of selective? I mean it is engineering but compared to other engineering majors… ?

I’ve never met anyone that’s majoring in that, to my knowledge. It’s impacted by virtue of being an engineering major, but it’s not an overly common major as far as I’m aware.

To be honest, I didn’t even know there was a chemical physics major until I googled it after reading your post. I found something saying that it’s a new major starting fall 2013 (can’t find it now), so that could be why.

Edit: Well more accurately, it seems chemical physics used to be a concentration within the applied physics major, but is now its own major? Anyone have any idea? I’m kind of curious now.

Oh ok hmm i was just wondering if its a super impacted and selective major hmm is every engineering major selective? Like the biological systems engineering which u said its not that common major?

[UC Davis: Freshman Selection Process](<a href=“http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/freshmen/fr_selection_process.cfm]UC Davis:”>http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/admission/freshmen/fr_selection_process.cfm)

In the case of the College of Engineering, admission is by department. So, if you apply to that major you’re competing against people who are also applying to that department. Engineering does tend to be more selective as a whole, but I’m not sure exactly how selective that specific department is.
