Hey there! I’m a UCD student (freshman, soon to be sophomore)
I remember being on this site this time last year. This website can be a pretty stress-inducing environment. And who needs any more of that! I see a lot of parents posting, which is great, but I think students can give a better perspective at many aspects of ~college~ so here I am!
Private messaging me with any and all questions would work best. Seriously, anything about cow-town life, best burrito spots, resources available for students, etc.
How is freshman orientation? 
Ours is coming up soon! I’m flying in from SoCal and I’m a little nervous. Also, it’s surprisingly expensive. How did you handle paying for everything? Is it easy to get any jobs at UC Davis for freshmen? I’ll probably need to work through college.
@RetainerBaby: Were you given work study as part of your FA package? Plenty of jobs on campus and in town for students.

My daughter is still considering whether to accept UC Davis Honors program. She is concern whether the Honors Program will be too vigorous for her. Retainer Baby, you have any information on that? UC Davis had a supportive culture both faculty and students?
