So I wrote these and I feel confident about sending these in but just in case any advice to fix my UCF essay?
1. What qualities or unique characteristics do you possess that would allow you to contribute to the UCF community?

In modern day society, many people share parallel identities and similar characteristics relating to what others believe is “acceptable” or “exemplar”. A plethora of individuals can define success as living off the morals and perceptions of the expectations others want us to live up to. As an adolescent growing up was difficult. My definition of success can differentiate from the norm, for I believe in identification of strengths, and going toward your personal passions is what success is all about. Fitting into a stereotype is not my style; in fact, I would be classified as a fusion of characteristics defined as “well rounded”. My earliest years of life have been involved with chorus which has become my comfort zone. I have gained confidence and a bolder personality as a result of the discovery of my strength. As a current high school senior, I have reached the ultimate accomplishment of being able to balance the IB program and leading as chorus captain. I have gained respect from adults and peers, which I never imagined myself doing ten years ago as a bullied shy girl trying to blend in with the popular kids. My involvement with music has meant a great deal to me; however, music is not what defines me, it serves as an important component of my life. The one characteristic I admire the most is my desire for guiding others. Being helpful and caring is what provides me with a sense of happiness. Being conducive requires true intelligence of life skills, and I feel that is the most beneficial kind of intelligence. I feel as if it is a quality that many people don’t set as a priority, because it is essential for others and their personal happiness. No matter the risk, my goal is to be helpful and caring in any possible way for as long as I am able. Therefore, if one were to define me as an individual it would be difficult because I don’t fit into a specific stereotype. I am considered musical, confident, and helpful. I am a leader and I am a role model to younger generations; so optimistically I am pleased to believe these qualities will assist me in approaching my future and what I define as successful.
1. Why did you choose to apply to UCF?

Already living in Florida alongside a large and diverse population, I feel that large urban areas are what suits me perfectly. I learn best around others who share my similar interests. UCF serves to educate large populations and allows the student body to reach out into the bustling city and provide service to the community. As an individual trying to escape dependence and search for independence, I feel as if UCF is the perfect start for someone as myself. Hoping to be a future Knight, I aspire to escape my perpetual rituals and discover new aspects that I have never experienced living in Coral Gables.
