UCF: Not rejected or accepted?

Hello! My UCF application status recently (meaning today) changed to: “Your application has undergone an initial review and is with the Admissions Committee for further evaluation. A decision may be delayed as we assess the strength of this year’s applicant pool.”

After doing some research, I noticed that this message is the exact same as the messages received by people who were deferred, except the word “deferred” is not stated. I was just wondering what this means? How long will it be until I receive a decision? Also, should I call or even write a Letter of Continue Interest despite not actually being explicitly “deferred”?

Thank you.

When did you apply? Has your GPA increased or rigor of classes or received any honors during 7th semester that have not yet been received by UCF? All HS counselor’s must notify colleges of student’s 7th semester grades or any changes to courses. You can always send a letter to you admission counselor restating your desire to attend UCF, why you feel you would be a good match and asking if there is anything you can do to increase your chances for admission.

Don’t jump to conclusions. At this stage, there’s really nothing further you can do. It’s in the hands of the admissions department.
