Hi, Im a incoming freshman who is going to be attending the summer term at UCF in a few months. I was looking at the meal plans and debating with myself whether or not to buy one. Is it really worth the money to buy it?

I heard that you they over charge you because most people don’t eat what the meal plans are worth, but I’m probably going to get one because my culinary skills are limited to the microwave

I am a student now, and I purchased the Block 150. It works for me, because I am lazy and like the fact that there is already a meal ready for me when I’m hungry. However, it really depends on your personal eating habits.

I would definitely tell you to avoid the higher priced meal plans. The Unlimited is definitely not worth it. Even with the Block 150, I barely finished using up all my meals on the last day. A friend of mine was swiping in several people at a time and still had 40 meals left at the end of the semester. The meals do not carry over to the next semester, so you should definitely watch how many meals you have left when it comes to the final few weeks.

Don’t do it, unless you want to absolutely pig out, in which case, go with the unlimited.
